The company repertoire includes pieces based in classical ballet, jazz, historical modern, innovative hip-hop, Broadway, concert tap, and pieces that range across all genres, taught by master teachers and guest artists. There is a wondrous aspect to Dance West and it’s performances.
The company is composed of students from the Beaverton School District and housed at Arts & Communication Magnet Academy, a 6-12th grade public school with curriculum based in the arts….and the dancers range from 8th grade through Senior year. Each dancer spends 4-6 hours each weekday working on technique and choreography, expanding their artistic expression and learning professional practices. Learn more about Dance West and ACMA mission.
